La abuela Cecilia
El cuento de la abuela Cecilia hace parte de la colección de relatos Reinventemos este cuento, historias de familia para hablar y jugar que propone promover espacios de diálogo para hablar de roles y estereotipos de género con infancias entre los 6 y 10 años. Este proyecto plantea narrativas e interacciones para que las infancias entiendan las situaciones de inequidad de género a través de la empatía, las emociones y la observación de su vida cotidiana. El cuento de la abuela Cecilia nos permite hablar de una manera lúdica y sensible de temas como la necesidad del tiempo libre, el reconocimiento del trabajo en el hogar y la repartición equitativa de las tareas de la casa. Este libro-juego es el resultado de dos años de investigación en dos instituciones educativas del departamento del Cauca, Colombia: La Escuela Mercedes Pardo de Simmonds, sede del Colegio Técnico Industrial de la ciudad de Popayán, y la Corporación Maestra Vida, de la vereda Puente Alta, Piagua, municipio de El Tambo.

El libro de la Abuela Cecilia está pensado para crear un pensamiento curioso y crítico sobre la equidad de género desde temprana edad, además de fomentar el reconocimiento, así como la redistribución de los trabajos del cuidado, y estimular el diálogo familiar sobre la distribución justa de tareas. Además, su formato innovador combina una narrativa sensible con cortes de papel, pinturas en acuarela y secciones lúdicas, haciéndolo atractivo, fácil y divertido de leer. Esta mezcla única de contenido reflexivo y presentación creativa no solo educa, sino que también cautiva a los niñas, niñas y niñes, facilitando conversaciones importantes sobre roles y responsabilidades en el hogar de una manera accesible y entretenida.
